Holiday Pot
Knowing that you have saved funds with an ABTA bonded travel centre inspires confidence to book something of real value and not accept last minute or bottom of the barrel holidays.
Cheap Holidays

Many a traveller still do not understand that a quality holiday needs to designed to fit the needs of the individual.

Our travel centre staffs see many that want real holiday experiences but often find themselves having to settle for lower expectations due to budget constraints and the idea of opening a travel savings account through our travel centre is seen by many as a welcome option.

The main reason for this is that it reduces the level of temptation to spend elsewhere. It is also important that people feel safe that their savings are protected and in the knowledge that the money being saved is targeted for travel purposes.

In order to provoke individuals in to opening a new travel account, we would be happy to add a five pound credit to any new account upon opening. The five-pound gift is our way to say thank you for registering.

1 - What is the holiday pot ?

Its purely a savings vehicle that allows you to put money aside for either a flight, holiday or even a cruise.

2 - What protection do I have ?

All holidays booked are protected under our ABTA membership bond. So your money is 100% safe.

3 - What's the difference . . . Savings Account v Credit Card ?

There is no interest charged on savings via a bonded travel centre. Where as paying by certain credit cards can leave you out of pocket up to 20%+ on top of the actual cost of the holiday. (This statement excludes debit cards)

4 - What is the minimum amount I need to pay ?

There is no such minimum amount, however what you should do is have an approx departure date and plan around this. For example, Say you want to go on holiday in seven months and the typical holiday you want will cost around £1200.00. By dividing 1200 by 6 should by £200 per month which is £50 per week.

5 - Why does your scheme excel ?

When you book with us, you have a real travel adviser that has been trained to help you add value. By saving on a regular basis, you will not feel the same financial pinch of having to raise your holiday money all at once. Our Travel Plan is perfect for both individuals and large families where budgets are restricted to a set monthly income.

6 - What if we decided not to travel and decide to postpone the journey for the following year ?

No problem. We are simply holding your money. We will always state that the saving option is non-refundable and can only be exchanged for either a flight, holiday or a cruise. Should you have saved over the value of your holiday, you will then have a choice of either leaving the account open with a balance or collecting the remaining balance in the form of a company cheque. No cash is ever given.

7 - Can I save via payments through my debit card ?

The answer is yes. There are no additional fees for debit card payments. Should you wish to pay by credit card, then please note that you will incur a 2.5% card fee, which needs to be added to the amount being saved.

Payments may only be made online through our main travel centre service page.

8 - What is the minimum age I can start saving?

The minimum age to start this scheme is 18.

9 - Can I open an account on behalf of another person as a present?

The answer is yes. We do however require you to have your own information added on the receipt in the event that you decide to change the beneficiary.

10 - We are a group of people that want to go on holiday together but we all live so far apart. Can we save individually for the same holiday?

The answer is yes. The key thing to remember is that there needs to be a lead name or a central person making the booking. What we do is create a central folio under the name of the lead passenger together with all the names of the individuals that will be added to the same list. Guests need to register themselves to the group and the rest is easy.

10a - What is some decides to leave our group half way?

Should someone decide to leave the group then his or her contributions are removed from the main folio account. They are then provided a letter of credit informing them of their account balance and instructions as to how the travel savings account works. Please note that all payments made are non-refundable and may only be used against holidays. Any remaining balances from the holiday cost are refunded in the form of a cheque.

Please note

Should an individual decide to cancel a holiday once it has been confirmed, then he or she will certainly lose one hundred percent of that invested. Any cancellations prior to any booking confirmation are treated as in paragraph 10a above.
