More
things to consider!
Accidents
and Spills - Private Events ONLY
Accidents
are part of life. Don't let an accident or spill ruin the
party. Have some spot remover on hand just in case.
Accommodation
- Private Events ONLY If
you know that your guests will require accommodation, ensure that
reservations are made well in advance in-order that the may all
stay in the same place. They may even want to continue partying.
Once you have found a guest house or hotel, try and negotiate a
group rate.
Coffee
& Snacks - Private Events ONLY
You
can never have too much food at a party. Be sure to have plenty of
hot coffee and snacks on hand for late in the evening.
Entertainment
Because
no two events will ever be the same, only you really know your guests. Some
may prefer casino type events whilst others may prefer comedians
or even be happy with present surroundings. Ensuring a dance area
and a bar will always allow individuals to break away
and mingle.
Extras
A
scented candle in the bathroom is a nice touch. Extra rolls
of toilet tissue in easy view.
Gifts
- Private Events ONLY
It's
always a good idea to bring a small gift to a party even if the
host or hostess instructs you not to in the invitation. Bring along a bottle of wine, some flowers or chocolates to show
your appreciation.
Lighting
Creative
lighting will contribute much to the atmosphere. Try
replacing some bulbs with coloured lamps or low wattage bulbs.
Special event lighting is available, these help create any scene
or backdrop without over expense.
Music
Whether
you decide to hire a band, a DJ, or simply spin your own CD's,
music keeps the party moving. If you do decide to hire a DJ,
please ensure that you take control
of volume levels and not leave this with the DJ's (Quite often
they are the ones that generally standing behind the speakers!!!)
Parking
Try
to make provisions for parking in advance. For residential
events, If you will be
allowing guests to park on the lawn or in the back yard, let them
know in your invitation. Ask your neighbours about parking
options or warn them that guests will be parking on the street.
Seating
Consider
removing all the chairs from the party area. This will
create more room for people to mingle - If area is restricted
Smoking
If
your party is being held in a non-smoking venue / household try to make
accommodations for smokers, like a room with a fan blowing.
If you do not have a place for smokers let them know in advance
that the party is held in a non-smoking household.
Theme
the event
Take
a closer look at our clients and you will discover that quality
matters. It is possible however to not go over board on event
theme but please note that a phew balloons within an vast space
won't say very much about any event. On the other-side, don't
overkill with too many props as you may risk someone falling over
something or someone !
